InterRidge teamed up with the ChEss program of the Census of Marine Life to submit a proposal for an outreach exhibit during the EuroScience Open Forum meeting in July 18-22, 2008 in Barcelona, Spain. We are excited to report that our proposal, entitled "Deep Sea Oases: Exploring the Big, the Small and All by 2010", was ACCEPTED! Stay tuned for more details as we plan this event. (Note: IR participated in ESOF 2006 in Munich, Germany, which attracted more than 2100 participants from 58 countries-- including 485 journalists.) ESOF is Europe's "most important interdisciplinary meeting on science, technology and the humanities."
