Science Programme Manager at Nekton Oxford Deep Ocean Research Institute

Nekton Oxford Deep Ocean Research Institute (‘Nekton’) is looking for a Science Programme Manager to join our dynamic team and to help develop and implement our next series of research Expeditions in the Indian Ocean, beginning in Seychelles.

We are looking for someone who enjoys a hands-on approach to implementing complex, international, multi-disciplinary science projects that involve both offshore and onshore scientific operations - working in collaboration with scientists drawn from a range of different institutes in the UK, Seychelles and globally. Participation in offshore activities will not be required. The role will also provide project and partnership coordination as well as operational support to the Principal Scientist, Head of Marine Operations and Mission Director along with support in managing and implementing logistics for deployment of all necessary equipment and coordination of the relevant personnel during field operations.
