Science Coordinator REV Ocean

REV Ocean aims to improve understanding and search for more sustainable and environmentally responsible solutions for the ocean. They will provide platforms for cooperation and innovation, as well as promote awareness and enhance learning. Platforms include the world’s largest research and expedition vessel, the Ocean Data Platform and The World Ocean Headquarters in Norway.

The Science Coordinator will work closely with the Science Director in the establishment of the REV Ocean science programme, including establishment of initial science priorities, initiation of appropriate partnerships, setting up operational structures, and developing the basis for using REV as a multi-disciplinary floating “think-tank” for ocean solutions. Representation of REV Ocean and its science programme at national and international science, industry and policy meetings will be an important aspect of the role. The location for this position will be Lysaker in Norway or as arranged.
