To characterize the distribution of volcanic eruption sites, the composition of the lavas, and the distribution and composition of hydrothermal systems in the vicinity of the 9 03’N overlapping spreading center, and to examine the site of the 2005-2006 eruptions near 9 50'N along the East Pacific Rise crest.
